Unfortunately the Club had to cancel the Challenger Stages that was due to run at Bovington on the 24th October due to military activity at the venue, a great shame for the competitors and organisers, who had put hard work and effort into the event. Our next stage rally at Bovington is due to take place in early March next year and there should be some exciting news about this event to announce soon.
The Clubs annual Awards Evening has been booked for Saturday 9th January 2016 at the Fox and Hounds, Canford Bottom. Menu choices and ticket prices will be available in due course and the event is again being organised by Mike Stewart 07974 144082.
This also means Its the time of year when the Club trophies need to be collected in and prepared for the next recipient. If you have a Club trophy please can you arrange for it to be returned to the Club Secretary, Tim Walker, timwalker722@btinternet.com 07802 914105 by the 30th November.
The provisional 2014/15 Club Championship tables are now on the website and will be final on the 15th November. Any queries should be raised with the Championship coordinator Cat Webb via e-mail at cat.champsec@yahoo.com
The Fox and Hounds is obviously enjoying our custom and we have been advised that the pub will be having a refurbishment so on Mondays 9th and 16th November only we will meet at The Willet Arms, Oakley Hill, Wimborne.
7th November JLT Tempest Stages B&DCC members would be most welcome to marshal the Pavilion Stage on one of the few gravel rallies in the South. 5th December Lands End to John O Groats Trial. Generally regarded as the toughest classic car regularity event in the country, Le Jog will be visiting Smeatharpe for 3 special tests which B&DCC have been asked to run. 13th December B&DCC Christmas Cracker Slalom. The Clubs final event of 2015 is being held at Blandford Camp and is guaranteed to be much more fun than Christmas shopping. More details from Aaron Booth, 07974 557245 aaron2.booth@ hotmail.com
3rd January 2016 B&DCC New Year Slalom. The Clubs first event of 2016 is being held at Bovington Camp. Mike Stewart and Bob Bailey have offered to head up this event so after many years of organising Aaron can finally enter an event!
