We are pleased to confirm that the Summer Sizzler Slalom at Shillingstone will be our first ‘post Covid-19’ event, however it will be for club members only on this occasion with more information to follow. The latest Motorsport UK protocol in relation to Covid-19 will be in place on the day to keep everyone safe. Camping will be available on Saturday overnight for those members competing or marshalling on Sunday.
At long last, some forms of motorsport have been given the green light to start again in July. B&DCC have been granted a permit for the Summer Sizzler Slalom on the 19th July. Michael Stewart is the entries secretary for this event. Details are attached and can be found on the club website here.
The way that we organise slaloms will be different due to Covid 19 so please read all of the regs for the event and also if possible go onto the MUK website and look at the changes that they have made. As well as social distancing a few of the other changes are:-
Entries – These have to be submitted prior to the event by email if possible and paid for by debit / credit card or BACS. No cash or cheques. There will be the usual entry form to send in and also a MUK RS Clubman Competitors Signing on form as well.

Passengers – These are not allowed, unless it is an adult sitting in with a young driver from the same household.
Double driving – It will be the competitor’s responsibility to allow enough time to sanitise the contact areas when swapping drivers between tests. This cannot take place on the start line.
At the moment we are unsure about camping the night before the event. However, if restrictions are lifted this may be possible. Look out on the club website NEWS section for more information.
